cruise control

Me too! I'm embarrassed to admit I don't know how it works. Like what happens when you brake? I've never felt the desire to learn yet my foot gets tired on trips....

Interior light dimmer, 12v lighter, and cruise control (because it doesn’t work.)

You don’t live in the right climate. Wait... I mean... I don’t live in the right climate. :-(

The roof rack. Never use it.

I live in NJ with our randomly harsh winters. I just don’t like them

When I’m bored, I play with the switches and there aren’t many of them, so I’ve pretty much touched everything.

When you brake, cruise control stops and you start coasting.

The automatic part of climate control.

I pretty much press every button I can find whenever I get into a new/different car, just to see what happens. Normally not a lot.
Ooh look, that’s the wing mirror heater button *click*

Engine block heater.

Same here, no clue how to use it
![]() 09/28/2015 at 21:24 |

But ..but...how!?!
I’m about to spend about $350 to retrofit it in my car!

I didn't know how this worked for years, I would always manually adjust the temp and fan never pushed the auto button. Now I do in my focus and it's pretty handy

You are the person that I HATE on road trips. It drives me up the wall when I set my cruise control and some jackass passes me, then slows down, so I pass him, then he realizes he slowed down and passes me again, then slows down, I pass him again, ad infinitum...
![]() 09/28/2015 at 21:29 |

It disengages. It makes road trips so much more comfortable to be able to stretch your legs while driving.

Heated seats are literally the best thing.

The button to fold in the wing mirrors.

Honestly I didn’t even know D-ring adjusters were a thing until I got a job designing seatbelts
![]() 09/28/2015 at 21:36 |

I don’t because I live in a really hilly section where people can’t concentrate from talking on the phone or trucks that don’t use the slow lane. Thus I’m always adjusting my speed to get around them and prevent from rear ending them.
![]() 09/28/2015 at 21:38 |

I think the reason I never use it is because the few times I’ve tried the “feature”, the fan never slowed down. I like it hot in the winter and ice cold in the summer, so it never really reached the temperature I wanted so the thermostat never turned the fan down.
![]() 09/28/2015 at 21:39 |

Now that you mention it, I think I can adjust that part of my seatbelts, but I’ve never even touched it. It’s fine how it is, however that is.

Maybe it's cuz I'm tall or that the seatbelt adjuster is at the top of it's range 99% of the time but I've never gotten in a car and thought wow this seatbelt is chafing my neck I should adjust it

The airbags!

Heated seats could literally kill puppies to function and I’d still want them on my car. Not kittens though, I have some standards.
Now, air conditioned seats, you don’t want to know what I’d do for those.

Cigarette lighter/ash tray? Apart from plugging things into the lighter.

Annoyingly it disengages, probably for some safety reason. It’s worthwhile to learn about trust me.

I’ve never used the CD player in my car - always use my mp3...

I have the opposite standard, but yes, I would pay large sums of money to fix my seats if they ever stopped working. I sadly have never tried those, but I want them out of principle.
![]() 09/28/2015 at 23:02 |

The dead pedal. My left foot goes sideways along the front of the seat when I’m not using it. The dead pedal just feels so weird to rest on, and probably guarantees a broken leg if I crash.

My Niva has about six features, so of course I’ve played with all of them. I’ve also touched all the features on my MJ, with the exception of the radio station presets.

My dad has them in his 7-series. They are amazing. The point where they shine through the most is at track days in the middle of July in W. Virginia, when we have to have our windows down while on the track, he stays nice and cool and I’m pretty much melting my balls off.

Cruise Control.
I have a vague idea how it works, but I don’t care to use it.

Oh the things I love about the fall: The trees changing colors, the Pumpkin Spice Latte’s and the opportunity to use the heated seats. OK, I’m bullshitting: I don’t drink Pumpkin Spice Latte’s
Now, knowing the moral compromises I’d commit for a Klondike Bar, I’d rather not think about what I’d do for for air conditioned seats.

The “W” button and the built in garage remote thing in the sun visor

I haven’t used the cigarette lighter but of course I have moved it to access the socket.
